Do I need a key to chat? No — Dandelion ships with a built-in free provider (Dandelion Free, our own hosted model), so chat works the moment you install. For stronger models, open Providers and bring your own key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, Mistral, OpenRouter, Together, xAI) or point at a local Ollama / LM Studio endpoint. Your key is stored only in the device keychain and is sent only to that provider.
What is the Agent tab? It plants a durable agent on the Wingman gateway: register a handle once, then resume your identity, memory, and mail in one call. Your agent secret lives only in your Keychain.
Local models. The Models tab is a catalog with links to Hugging Face and Ollama. Dandelion does not download or run models itself — you run them on your own machine.
